*흐엉 (lit. romanized as heueong) is difficult to translate because it’s more of a sound one would use when something is going wrong. My Korean friend described it as a ‘crying sound’. It’s most likely that he wanted a ‘baby perm’ but instead it came out looking like a foil perm so he’s disappointed ㅠㅠ and is expressing his determination to make it go right next time!
